About the Role
Infinite Machine is seeking a Systems/Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical drive systems, including how they operate, interact with, and provide feedback to the overall system. Additionally, experience with how a standard 12v vehicle system integrates and functions.
This person will help in designing/engineering a drivetrain package suitable for a hub-driven e-moped with a feedback system and data acquisition/telemetry system that will interface with an IoT device.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop feedback and data acquisition/telemetry systems to interface with IoT devices
- Create and specify wiring diagrams, connectors, and wire types/sizes.
- Select appropriate BMS and cell configurations for battery design and manufacturing.
- Understand various motor types and configurations (PMAC, BLDC, IPM) and their control mechanisms.
- Incorporate vehicle CANBUS information into a CPU and translate it to a graphical format for a dashboard.
- Design and develop electrical architectures for light electric vehicles with a focus on CAN bus communication systems and IoT connectivity.
- Create, interpret, and update detailed wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Implement and manage IoT solutions that enable vehicle-to-cloud communication for real-time monitoring and diagnostics.
- Analyze backend database metrics to optimize vehicle performance and enable predictive maintenance.
- Conduct failure analysis to diagnose and resolve issues related to vehicle systems and components.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and cloud teams to integrate and validate connected vehicle systems.
- Develop and execute test plans for both electrical and IoT-connected systems to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
